CIRO GROUPSOLAR & SMART HOME

About CIRO GROUP LTD

One company for the energy and the intelligence.

CIRO GROUP LTD supplies and installs solar panel systems, home batteries and smart-home automation for houses across Toronto and the GTA. Design, wiring, permits, commissioning and the follow-up support all sit with our own crew — one contract, one number to call, and nobody to point at when something needs looking at.

How we work

Four habits we do not bend on

One point of accountability

The person who measures your roof is from the same company as the crew that wires it and the technician who answers the phone in year three. Nothing gets handed to a reseller or a subcontracted electrician mid-project.

Honest sizing

We size the system against a year of your actual bills, not a brochure. If your roof is shaded, badly oriented or due for replacement first, we will tell you that on the site visit — including when the answer is "not yet".

Clean installs

Drop sheets before the first tool comes out, cable runs dressed and secured, conduit lined up, every breaker and disconnect labelled properly, and the site swept before we leave. Your panel should read clearly to the next electrician who opens it.

Support after handover

Monitoring stays switched on, so we usually see a fault before you do. Warranty claims, firmware, a new scene after you rearrange a room — that is a phone call, not a new sales process.

Our process

Four steps, no surprises

The same sequence for a small rooftop array and a full house of automation — only the scope changes.

Site visit

We measure the roof, note its pitch, orientation and shading, and check its remaining life. We read a year of your bills, open the electrical panel to see what capacity is left, and walk the attic and basement runs.

It is free, it takes about an hour, and you get our read on the house whether or not you go ahead.

Design & fixed quote

You get a panel layout, a production estimate for that specific roof, and the equipment written out by make and model — panels, inverter, battery, chargers, controls.

One fixed price covers equipment, labour, permits and inspection. If we hit something genuinely unforeseen, we come back to you before spending your money, not after.

Install

Our own crew, drop sheets down, a clear start and finish date. Most homes are finished in one to three days on site.

We pull the building permit where one is required and book the ESA inspection ourselves, so you are not chasing paperwork between trades.

Commission & handover

We energise and test the system, complete the utility connection and net-metering paperwork, and set up the monitoring app on your phone.

Then we sit down with the household, name the scenes the way your family actually talks, and leave the labelled documentation with you.

What we stand for

Fewer promises, kept properly.

Solar and automation are long-lived systems. What matters is not the pitch on day one but whether the wiring is sound in year ten and whether someone still picks up the phone.

Say the true number

Estimates are modelled on your roof and your consumption. We would rather quote a smaller system that performs as described than a large one that disappoints.

Treat it as someone's home

Boots off where they should be, floors covered, no radio on the roof at seven in the morning, and the driveway left the way we found it.

Build it to be serviced

Standard, well-supported equipment. Documented circuits, accessible isolators and a system that another qualified trade could pick up and work on.

Answer afterwards

The relationship starts at handover. Monitoring, warranty support and small adjustments are part of the job, not an upsell.

Standards & paperwork

The unglamorous part, handled.

Most of what protects a homeowner happens off the roof — in the code the work is done to, the inspection it passes and the forms that get filed correctly.

  • Electrical work performed to the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and inspected by the ESA.
  • Building permits pulled where the work requires them, with the drawings the municipality asks for.
  • Manufacturer-authorised mounting and installation methods, so the equipment warranties stay valid.
  • Net-metering, utility connection and rebate applications prepared and submitted on your behalf.
  • WSIB coverage and liability insurance in place; certificates available on request before work starts.
  • As-built documentation and labelled panel schedules left with you at handover.

Ask us for current documentation at the site visit — we would rather you check.

Questions

About the company

The things people ask before they let a crew onto their roof.

Do you subcontract the work?

The design, electrical work and automation are done by our own crew. Where a specialised trade is genuinely required — a roof repair, for example, or crane access — we tell you in the quote who is doing it and it stays under our contract and our warranty. You never have to manage a second company.

What warranty do I get?

Three layers. The panels carry the manufacturer's performance warranty, typically 25 years; inverters, batteries and controls carry their own manufacturer terms, which we list by product in the quote. On top of that our workmanship — mounting, penetrations, wiring and terminations — is covered for 10 years. Because we install everything ourselves, a warranty claim starts and ends with one phone call.

Can you take over a system someone else installed?

Often, yes. We start with an inspection: array condition, mounting and flashing, wiring and terminations, inverter and battery health, and whether the original work was permitted and inspected. After that we will tell you what we can service and monitor, what should be corrected first, and what remains with the original manufacturer's warranty rather than ours.

Do you work with builders and renovators?

Yes. The best time to run conduit, low-voltage backbone and keypad boxes is before the drywall goes on, so we are happy to be brought in at framing and coordinate with your electrician and general contractor. We can also pre-wire for solar, storage or an EV charger now and install the equipment later.
