Two halves of one system

We do the energy and the intelligence — so they actually talk to each other.

Scope

What we install

We stock the smart-home side of it too — buy a single sensor or a whole floor of lighting, with or without a crew to install it.

Solar arrays

Roof and ground-mount arrays, string or micro-inverters, rapid shutdown, monitoring you can read from your phone.

Home batteries

Backup storage sized to carry the essentials — or the whole panel — through an outage and through peak pricing.

EV chargers

Level 2 charging wired to the panel or fed from the array, scheduled to draw on your own surplus first.

Lighting & scenes

Dimmable circuits, keypads that replace the switch clutter, tunable white, and outdoor lighting on astronomical timers.

Climate & blinds

Smart thermostats, zoning, heat-pump integration and motorised shades that pre-empt the afternoon sun.

Security & network

Cameras, smart locks, video doorbells, sensors — on a proper wired network with Wi-Fi that reaches the garage.

Why CIRO

One company holds the whole system — and the warranty.

Most homeowners end up juggling a solar reseller, a subcontracted roofer, an electrician and an automation guy who all blame each other. We keep design, installation and support in-house, so there is exactly one number to call.

Questions

Straight answers

Anything not covered here, ask us on the site visit — we would rather over-explain than over-sell.

Does solar actually work in Ontario winters?

Yes. Panels produce from light, not heat, and cold weather slightly improves their efficiency. Output is lower in December and higher from March through September; a system is sized against your annual consumption, not a single month.

What does a system cost?

It depends on roof area, orientation, your consumption and whether you add a battery or EV charger. We quote one fixed price after the site visit — equipment, labour, permits and inspection included — and we will tell you honestly if your roof is a poor candidate.

Do I need a battery?

Not necessarily. Without one you export surplus to the grid; with one you store it for the evening and keep power during outages. We will show you both numbers and let you decide.

Can you automate a house that is already finished?

Yes — most of our smart-home work is in existing homes. Wireless and retrofit-friendly gear covers the majority of it, and we fish wire only where it genuinely pays off.

Who handles permits, inspection and rebates?

We do. Building permit where required, ESA inspection, utility connection paperwork, and we prepare the rebate and financing applications you qualify for.
